Started a new one ...

...And if I hadn't been farting around online for the last hour or so, I'd probably have finished it by now. Just some hand beading left to do, and I suppose I should embroider the date on it as well.

Before I start posting pics, let me just say that I had a happy accident. I bought some black thread a while ago, and I used it today - what I didn't realize when buying it was that it was UPHOLSTERY thread - and this stuff is awesome! Its so much stronger than what I usually use is, and it feels great in my hands.

Anyway, let me introduce you to the 'Gypsy's Tuxedo'. This is what I would imagine a Gypsy woman might choose to wear with her ensemble if she were invited to a black tie event, or a Black and White Ball.

Before the ribbon and top edging is sewn on, showing the chevrons.

With the edging laid on top, but not sewn on.

I put two of the five tassels on the ribbon ends, and beaded them up a bit.

A close up of some of the trim.

Added some beads to the plain tassel trim. It needed some love.

Last step: Add the BLING.
